Richard Jones is the director of Notre Dame’s Gallivan Program in Journalism, Ethics, and Democracy. Victoria St. Martin, a multimedia journalist at WNIT, which is the PBS station that serves South Bend and the rest of the Michiana region, lectures at Notre Dame as a distinguished visitor.

Rich and Victoria both moved to the area last summer, before which he was an associate editor at The New York Times and she was a breaking news and general assignment reporter at The Washington Post.

They just so happen to be married, too.

Here we talked about, among other things, the challenges of being a journalist in 2018, fake news, and Prince.
