Research Uncorked is a monthly speaker series featuring informal interviews with leading scholars and scientists from the University. Typically hosted at Ironhand Winebar in South Bend, the series has temporarily moved online because of the coronavirus.

In August, we’re excited to be joined by John Duffy, professor of English and the O’Malley Director of the University Writing Program at Notre Dame. Our conversation with Professor Duffy is titled “More than Manners: Answering the Call to Civil Discourse” and will explore the moral imperative to make ethical arguments grounded in such qualities as knowledge, truthfulness, evidence, and respect for opposing points of view.

Please email Ted Fox (tfox2@nd.edu) by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, to RSVP and receive instructions on how to join the Zoom call.
